Premade business templates are bad for your business & here’s why

Building your business should be something you not only invest time and energy into, but something you should invest your money into as well. If you’re not willing to spend money on your business, why would potential clients feel comfortable doing it?

Listen, I was here to see the boom of premium WordPress themes and the flood of bloggers who felt like a million bucks for under $50. I also seen when theme marketplaces like Theme Forest popped up and everyone jumped on the “business theme” bandwagon.

I also realized pretty early on that any business looking to be taken serious with a cookie cutter design that hundreds of other businesses were already using, wasn’t worth my time to chase.

You get what you pay for, and if you expect $50 to get you a high quality theme that is bug free, easy to customize and comes with support to help you fix the issues you’ll undoubtedly come across, I have a bridge to sell you.

The idea that a premade theme is going to help you stand out is like buying a long black jacket and sunglasses to go to a Matrix convention. Everybody looks the same, and you lose your competitive edge.

When you take the time to scout for a WordPress developer and find one that can build a theme from scratch, catered specifically to your needs, you’ll find the difference in quality is astounding. From the marketing insight that it put into the layout of your businesses website, to the finely crafted mobile layouts that put your most important items first, the money spent is well worth it.

Is your company website an expense or investment?

The answer is simple if you’re serious about your business. You’re investing in the future of your business, so why dress it up in the same boring clothes as everybody else? Find a developer who designs and builds websites in a wide variety of styles, showing you that clients needs are put first, always.

Even better, find a developer who knows the ins and outs of running a business website, the marketing involved and can pass that knowledge to you when they create your website.

When I design a WordPress theme for a client, my main goal is to always give the client more than you ask for. I will not only design your website, but will offer up my thoughts on what plugins work best for your goals. I will submit your website to CSS galleries that give you added SEO and traffic benefits, and I will toss in extras that won’t even be discussed beforehand.

You can’t get that same level of personalization from a $50 theme and frankly, if that’s what you think your business is worth, its probably best we don’t even talk about working together. It would be a waste of my time, and yours.

I am interested in working with business owners who know the value of a great website design and how it will help grow your business. The money spent is not an expense, but an investment into the future success of your business.

What’s your next step with your business website?

If you’re looking for a cheap solution, just enough to skate by, then a premade business WordPress template is what you need.

But If you’re looking to grow your business website beyond the level its currently at, I would love for you to get in touch so I can show you what I can do for your business growth.
